Founding Engineer

We’re searching for a passionate and versatile engineer who thrives on solving complex problems across electrical, mechanical, and software engineering. High levels of independence and the ability to own your work are crucial in this role as you will be responsible for creating complete systems, with minimal external guidance. As the founding engineer, you’ll be part of our inner circle as we develop the product vision. You’ll have a significant impact on the technical direction of our company, as well as its culture.

• Design and prototype robust electrical circuits, mechanical parts, and software systems that integrate seamlessly.
• Contribute from concept through design, prototyping, testing, and final production.
• Skilled in PCB design (e.g., EAGLE), CAD modeling (e.g., SOLIDWORKS), advanced 3D printing/machining, and applying DFM principles for cost-effective production.
• Build scalable web applications and IoT interfaces using technologies like React, Node.js, Python, and implement real-time communication with websockets and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with sensor integration, low-level hardware interfacing (e.g., STM32 MCUs), GPU-accelerated solutions (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson), and common protocols (SPI, I2C, UART).
• Expertise in backend systems using AWS Lambda, Kubernetes, and secure data management practices.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot system-level issues, ensuring smooth hardware-software integration in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Eager to revolutionize maritime robotics by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and agile development practices.
